The Marietta Board of Education is now accepting applications to fill the current vacancy on the board. The individual appointed to this position will serve through the end of 2027. Interested candidates must complete the application form and submit it via email to Cody Parman at cparman@mariettacsdoh.org no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, August 7th. Interested candidates can also submit a completed application at the Board Office at 111 Academy Drive.
The Board will review submitted applications at 3:45 p.m. on August 7th during a Special Board Meeting, held at 111 Academy Drive, to identify a shortlist of candidates. A limited number of applicants will then be invited to participate in a working session with the Board on Wednesday, August 13th, at 6:00 p.m. The focus of the working session is board member roles and responsibilities, and expectations between the board and administration, and making the appointment.
