Attention 8th grade families, Marietta High School in conjunction with Prodigy Student Travel, Inc., is organizing an exciting trip to Gettysburg, set for Oct 30, 2025 - Oct 31, 2025 ! This tour will give your student an opportunity to experience first-hand the excitement & history of this historic city!

Arrangements for the tour will be made through Prodigy Student Travel, a fully licensed and insured educational travel company based in Worthington, OH.

The trip package, priced at $435 per student - based on quad hotel occupancy & 40 min. paid - includes the following: round-trip ground transportation, one (1) night of accommodations, four (4) meals, tours of Gettysburg National Military Park, including the film and cyclorama, a ghost tour of historic Gettysburg, and a
visit to the Flight 93 Memorial! This price also includes directors & night hotel night security staff, and all taxes &
gratuities.

A non-refundable deposit of $155 per student is due to Prodigy Student Travel by Fri. Sep 5, 2025 . Join us Sunday from 1-3 at the historic Lafayette Hotel for the Annual Community Resource Fair hosted by GoPacks. There will be plenty of information on resources and programs across the community and we will be there as well to discuss all things MCSD with you. We hope to see you there!

Marietta Band Boosters are holding a fundraiser Friday August 15. If you go to Qdoba from 5p.m. until close then 25 percent of your sale will go directly to Marietta's Band program. Go get some good food and support these kids!

Here is the staggered start schedule for the 2025-2026 School year for 7th Grade ONLY:

- Last name A-K will report on Thursday, August 21st. These students will NOT report on Friday, August 22nd.

- Last name L-Z will report on Friday, August 22nd. These students will NOT report on Thursday, August 21st.

All students will receive a document at orientation stating which day they are to attend, or not attend, due to the staggered start. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out.

J. Bryan and Norma R. McCann Scholarship checks have arrived at the High School. They can be picked up in the main office between 7-3. Please bring your current college schedule and a photo ID.

Parking will be handled differently this year than it has in the past. ALL student parking will be on the Colegate side of the building this year. Student spots will be claimed on a first come first serve basis. Seniors will be able to purchase their passes first starting on Monday August 11, Tuesday August 12 and Thursday August 14. After that it will be opened up for underclassman will be able to purchase a pass.

In order to obtain a spot students will need to:
-Complete a parking registration form
-Provide proof a driver's license
-Provide proof of insurance
-Turn in an emergency medical card
-All fees must be paid in full

Tomorrow, August 7, the, Washington County Back to School Bash will be held from 4-7 p.m.. Families across the county will be able to visit the Washington County Junior Fair Building for local resources, programs and support that include but aren't limited to:

-Immunizations for 7-12th graders
-Haircuts (as time allows)
-School supplies
-Activities for kids
-Smoke detectors and fire safety
-So much more!

Remember this is open to families across all of Washington County so spread the word!

Anyone interested in the choir program at Marietta High School, be sure to keep Monday August 18, from 6:30-7 p.m. free. You will be able to discuss all things MHS Choir, learn what the musical this year will be, see vocal point perform and ask any questions you may have. Help support Lady Tigers Golf this week by grabbing a bit to eat at Applebee's on Wednesday July 30. Please mention or show them this fundraiser at any point on that day to secure a %25 donation from the total cost of your order.

Help support the Marietta Marquettes by participating in their raffle which is valued at over $600. Tickets are $10 each and the drawing will be held on August 22, 2025. Please help spread the word!

The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County is providing free hot lunches between the ages of 5-18 years old all summer long. From June 9-August 15, kids can stop between 11:30 and 12 p.m. at 307 Lancaster Street in Suite I in Marietta. What a wonderful service provided to the community.
