For our first varsity home football game of this season we'd like to invite all current military personnel, veterans and first responders to hopefully enjoy a Tiger victory on the house! Kindergarten we are so excited to see you this week! Our class lists will be posted at 4 p.m. today, we ask that you do not share these lists on social media for privacy purposes. Just a reminder that tomorrow we will have an open house from 1-3 p.m. to visit your students classroom, drop off supplies and meet their teacher. Staggered start information should have been given to you at your students KRA but if you have any questions about that please contact the school. It's going to be an amazing first week and we are so ready to begin the year!

Washington Kindergarten Open House will be on August 27, from 1-3 p.m.
It was a wonderful first week and we would like to thank our bus drivers for working so hard to get our students to and from school safe and on time. Please be patient as they continue to improve their route times as the year goes on. In addition, make sure you check out the Bus Quest app for detailed information about your students bus route, receive news about delays, and even receive a notification when your students bus is about to arrive. The Go Packs community resource fair will be august 25 from 1 -3 p.m. at the historic Lafayette hotel  Sunday august 25.
The Marietta Soccer League's Fall Registration is open! Children ages 4-15 are to signup at to https://marietta.demosphere-secure.com/_registration to register. Fall registration is $55 including the uniform. Registration closes August 28th. Practices start the week of September 9th, and games will start September 15th and are on every Sunday until October 27th. The new school year is just around the corner and we are so excited to see our students again! We wanted to kick the year off right for our K-2 families with our Back to School Fair! The event will be held on August 19, from 6-7 p.m. at the Junior Fair Building at the Washington County Fair Grounds. In addition to being a great chance to see some of our staff we will have everything listed below at the event: - free school supplies -free back packs - food trucks - face painting - transportation table in order to check your bus route and get your bus tag - free winter coat sign up - GoPacks enrollment - attendance and home services information - tables of community resources including after school care information We hope to see you all on the 19th and hope you all have an amazing remainder of your summer in the meantime!

Yesterday you should have received a form detailing our state requirement regarding age appropriate education on sexual and dating abuse and violence. This is an education that will be provided annually. In our K-6 grades, this will be developmentally appropriate instruction in child sexual abuse prevention. Students in these grades will also receive other social emotional lessons such as personal safety and assault prevention. Students will participate in the lessons and/or activities for these state requirements unless a parent/guardian completes the opt form excusing their child(ren) at the bottom of the sheet sent home. The Marietta Community Foundation and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio are holding a fundraiser to provide free books to local kids with "Dine for Dolly" on May 9, 2024 from 4-8 pm. During this time 10% of orders placed at the register and 25% of orders placed through their app will go towards the purchase of books for local kids. Local Author Kaitlin Streator will also be on hand reading her book "Pawpaw is my Favorite Flavor" for kids who attend the event. So come grab a bite, enjoy a story and help support a wonderful cause to further childhood literacy in our area!
